The Safety Straps feature padded brackets that are designed to fit on upright poles that measure 2.35” x 2.35” with 1” mounting holes. The straps are specially made with a thick, durable nylon material with reinforced stitching where the bar will drop. There are 2 distinct advantages of safety straps. First, the straps have the inherent ability to flex and distribute the weight load much more efficiently because it has a little bit of give to it. This allows the bar to slow down without suddenly stopping. The second advantage is that the straps can take repeated impacts over a period of time and keep their structural integrity. It is easy to use and only requires inserting the peg and turning it down to lock into place. We recommend mounting the straps at different heights to ensure the bar rolls away from you instead of being near you. The safety straps have a total weight capacity of 300 lbs.
